Trade Analyst Sreedhar Pillai has confirmed this news as he stated in his article, "Trade sources have confirmed that Dangal is going to be the highest collecting Hindi film in Tamil Nadu and Kerala, as it has already broken SRK’s Chennai Express and Salman Khan’s Sultan collections in four days." The film, in it's first three days raked in approximately Rs 3.27 crore in Tamil Nadu box office. Aamir Khan's Dangal has wiped out the collections of Salman Khan's Sultan and Shah Rukh Khan's Chennai Express box office collections at Tamil Nadu box office.
